Toxicology

ذكذكتسئµ Toxicology program was the first of its kind in the South and is currently one of only six nationally.آ آ The Toxicology program is administered by the School of Basic Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Sciences within the College of Pharmacy.آ آ The Toxicology programs offers the following degrees:آ آ Bachelor of Science in Toxicology and Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy with research focus in Toxicology.

The Toxicology curriculum consists of a four-year program designed to include a solid foundation in basic sciences, a broad background in Toxicology with several specialized courses and sufficient non-science courses to proved the student with a well-rounded education.آ  The Toxicology coursework spans the fields of clinical, environmental and industrial toxicology.آ  Within the field of Industrial Toxicology, special emphasis is given to Industrial Hygiene theory and practice.آ آ 

In addition to coursework, opportunities are available for students to obtain experience in faculty laboratories at ذكذكتسئµ or at off-campus facilities such as the Natioinal Center for Toxicological Research in Jefferson, AR; the United States Army Corps of Engineers Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS; and several local industries.
